Orville "Bud" Atwood Howsman, Jr.

Orville "Bud" Atwood Howsman Jr. Orville "Bud" Howsman Jr., age 91, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Monday, June 1, 2015, at his residence. Bud was born the son of Orville Howsman Sr. and Waneva (Miller) Howsman on July 21, 1923, in Chillicothe, Missouri. Bud served in the United States Air Force from 1943 until 1946 during World War II. He was a 1941 graduate of Chillicothe High School, Chillicothe, Missouri. He was united in marriage to Margery Brown on June 1, 1948. She preceded him in death on September 18, 1968. He was then united in marriage to Virginia Smith on April 7, 1969. She preceded him in death on March 3, 1996. Bud was a self-employed Painting Contractor in the Chillicothe area as was his father. He was a member of the First Christian Church, Chillicothe, Missouri. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching NCAA College basketball, especially March Madness. Survivors include one nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents; wives, Margery Howsman, and Virginia Smith; and one sister, Norma Ludwig. Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Thursday, June 4, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. There is no scheduled family visitation.
