Ora Clay Morris, Jr. Ora Clay Morris, Jr., age 82, a lifelong resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, September 20, 2016, at his residence. Ora was born the son of Ora Clay and Grace Marie (Karst) Morris on July 16, 1934, in Chillicothe, Missouri. He was a 1953 graduate of Chillicothe High School. He was united in marriage to Virginia "Elaine" Cox on August 21, 1954, in Chillicothe, Missouri. She survives of the home. Ora worked as a farmer all of his life. He was baptized as an infant at St. Columban's Catholic Church, Chillicothe, Missouri. Ora was a lifelong supporter of the Livingston County 4-H and FFA Fair. He served on the Fair Board and Planning Committee. He was inducted into the Livingston County Fair Legends Hall of Fame in 2009. He served on the Farmers Mutual Insurance Board. He loved traveling to Branson with his wife and family. He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Elaine of the home; one son, David Morris and wife Cindy of Chillicothe, Missouri; two daughters, Cathy Daugherty of Chillicothe, Missouri, and Lisa Dominique and husband Scott of Chillicothe, Missouri; eight grandchildren, Clark Morris, Clay Morris, Jennifer Horton and husband David, Adam Daugherty and wife Melanie, Katie Daugherty, Megan Dominique, Hannah Dominique, and Bryce Dominique; eleven great grandchildren; one sister, Nancy Fries and husband Kenny of Chillicothe, Missouri; and five nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and mother and father-in-law, L.P. and Dorothy Cox. Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Friday, September 23, 2016, at 1:00 p.m. A scheduled family visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Thursday, September 22, 2016, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Thursday, September 22, 2016, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe, Missouri.
