Norman Case Norman Case, age 69, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, April 27, 2014, at Hillcrest Manor, Hamilton, Missouri. Norman was born the son of Walter and Garnett (Lamp) Case on April 7, 1945, in Chillicothe, Missouri. Norman was a 1963 Chillicothe High School graduate, Chillicothe, Missouri. He was united in marriage to Carolyn Perry on June 24, 1965 at the Liberty United Methodist Church, Chillicothe, Missouri. She survives of the home. Norman served in the Missouri National Guard Battery B, 1-129th Field Artillery of Chillicothe, Missouri. Norman worked at Irvinbilt Company for 39 years, working his way up to the position of superintendent. He was a superintendent for 27 years, until his retirement in 2005. He was a member of the Union Baptist Church, Chillicothe, and the Local Carpenters Union 110 of St. Joseph, Missouri. Norman loved his work and was well known for his strong work ethic. He played guitar and enjoyed music with friends and family for almost 50 years. His other favorite hobbies were hunting and fishing. Survivors include, his wife Carolyn of the home; one son Steve Case and wife Julie of Chillicothe, Missouri; one daughter Angie Carson and husband Byron of Huxley, Iowa; foster son Ron Jarvis of Lakota, Iowa; nine grandchildren, Brandon Carson, Ellyn Carson, Ryan Carson, Meg Carson, Austin Case, Jessie Case, Nathan Jarvis, Amelia Jarvis, and Gabby Jarvis; sister-in-law Elaine Case of Chillicothe, Missouri; and nephew Jody Case and wife Rhonda of Chillicothe, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents; son Jason Andrew Case; grandson, Justin Carson; and brother, John Eugene Case. Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Wednesday, April 30, 2014, at 1:00 p.m. A family visitation will be held at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, April 29, 2014, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at May Cemetery, Chula, Missouri.
