Nora B. Tuttle

Nora B. Tuttle, age 82, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away at Liberty Hospital, Liberty, Missouri on Friday, December 31, 2010. Nora was born the daughter of Homer and Goldie (Duncan) Miller on July 17, 1928, in St. Joseph, Missouri. She was married to Jack E. Tuttle on February 23, 1947, in Hiawatha, Kansas. He preceded her in death on June 17, 2007. Nora helped her mother run Sperry's Nursing Home in the 1950's. She then helped with Miller's Nursing Home and later decided to purchase it and change the name to Tuttle's Manor Nursing Home in the 1970's. She was a member of the St. Columban's Catholic Church, Chillicothe, Missouri. Survivors include one brother, Jack Jones of California; two sons, Richard L. Tuttle of Alaska and Eugene Tuttle, of Chillicothe, Missouri; two grandchildren Mike Tuttle and wife Melissa of Utica, Missouri, Kathy Copple and husband Adam of Chillicothe, Missouri; five great grandchildren Haley, Cameron, Reece, and Kennedy Tuttle, and Brooke Copple; she is also survived by several nieces and nephews, nephew Darrell Jones of Chillicothe, niece Candice Faulkner of Chillicothe, niece Jannene Templeton of Polo, great niece Dominique Jones of Chillicothe, great nephew George Faulkner of Meadville, and great nephew Gage Gott, of Chillicothe. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Jack; one brother George Ross Jones; and two infant children. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri. Friends may call on Tuesday, January 4, 2011 from 12 noon to 6:00 p.m. at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri. Burial will be at the Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Chillicothe, Missouri.
