Nora Florette Pittman Nora Florette Pittman, age 89, a resident of Breckenridge, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2015, at Indian Hills Nursing Home, Chillicothe, Missouri. Nora was born the daughter of Zane and Bama Florella (Kelsey) Oliver on April 23, 1926, in Puxico, Missouri. She was united in marriage to Martin Howard Pittman on March 8, 1947, in St. Louis, Missouri. He preceded her in death on August 24, 2009. Nora enjoyed singing, sewing, gardening, and writing letters. She also enjoyed reading and writing poetry. She began teaching Sunday School and singing for the church at the age of sixteen. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church, Breckenridge, Missouri. Survivors include three daughters, Carol Burns and husband, Robert, of Ozark, Missouri, Donna Pittman of Republic, Missouri, and Rebecca "Becky" Pittman of Gwynn's Island, Virginia; four sons, Martin David Pittman and wife, Karen, of Republic, Missouri, Nova Pittman and wife, Rhonda, of Garland, Texas; Tom Pittman and wife, Diane, of Chillicothe, Missouri, and Jon Pittman and wife, Jaime, of Chillicothe, Missouri; two sisters June Thebeau of St. Louis, Missouri, and Florella Lambert of Scottsboro, Alabama; seven grandchildren, Amy Tharp and husband, Kody, Amanda Pittman, Ryan Pittman and wife Mindy, Shayla Shannon and husband Cole, Dwayne Fidler, Kyle Pittman, and Jase Pittman; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Martin Howard Pittman; five brothers, Adell, Austin, Marvin, Fred, and Charles; one sister Jewell Brooks; and one great-grandson Hunter Joel Fidler. Funeral services will be held at the Pitts Funeral Home, Breckenridge, Missouri, on Saturday, August 22, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. A scheduled family visitation will be held at the Pitts Funeral Home, Breckenridge, Missouri, on Friday, August 21, 2015, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Pitts Funeral Home, Breckenridge, on Friday, August 21, 2015, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Rose Hill Cemetery, Breckenridge, Missouri.
