Nicholas P. Keeley Nicholas Paxton Keeley, age 63, a resident of Glasgow, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, November 3, 2016, at the University of Missouri Hospital, Columbia, Missouri. Nicholas was born the son of Paxton and Charlene (Dalstein) Keeley on February 12, 1953, in Kansas City, Missouri. He was a 1971 graduate of Chillicothe High School, Chillicothe, Missouri. During high school, he was very active in Boy Scouts Troop 120, at which time he achieved Eagle Scout and the God and Country Award. His parents owned the Paxton's clothing stores in Chillicothe and Marshall, Missouri. After graduation, he attended the Westminster College, Fulton, Missouri, graduating with a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Speech and Theater. Nick met Rose Ellen Doran in the summer of 1981 in New Orleans and were united in marriage on December 29, 1981. Rose Ellen was active duty Navy and they spent the next 15 years stationed around the world together. Nick loved traveling and never took life too serious. He enjoyed volunteering his time for others and loved to make people laugh. Nick modeled and was in over 50 plays, 15 commercials, and 10 movies, and was an active member in the Screen Actors Guild (SAG). He was a member of the Grace Episcopal Church, Chillicothe, Missouri. Survivors include one daughter, Spencer (Keeley) Ponto and husband Andy Ponto of Aberdeen, North Carolina; one grandchild, Jordyn Rose Ponto of Aberdeen, North Carolina; one step son, Danny Doran and wife Liette of Moorehead City, North Carolina; three step grandchildren, Quin Doran, Mazalee Doran, and Harrison Doran all of Morehead City, North Carolina; one sister, Linda Vroman and husband Ken Vroman of Glasgow, Missouri; two nephews, Matt Vroman of Detroit, Michigan and Paxton Vroman of Fayette, Missouri; and special friend, Sarah Ann Fricker of Manukau, New Zealand. He was proceeded in death by his parents; and wife, Rose Ellen. Funeral services will be held at the Grace Episcopal Church, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Monday, November 7, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. A scheduled family visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Sunday, November 6, 2016, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Sunday, November 6, 2016, from 12 until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at a later date at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe, Missouri.
