Nellie Virginia Reeter Nellie Virginia Reeter, age 101, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, January 24, 2015, at Morningside Center, Chillicothe, Missouri. Nellie was born the daughter of Chris and Elizabeth (Hinnen) Eckert on January 6, 1914, in Chula, Missouri. She was united in marriage to George Reeter on October 28, 1931, in Chillicothe, Missouri. He preceded her in death on November 3, 1985. Nellie was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church, Chillicothe, Missouri. Survivors include two sons, Robert Reeter and wife Sharon of Chula, Missouri; and Don Reeter and wife Nora of Laredo, Missouri; one daughter Sue Linhardt and husband Gene of Independence, Missouri; daughter-in-law Janet Reeter of Prairie City, Iowa; 12 grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband George Reeter; one son Phillip Reeter; two brothers, Mark and Harry Eckert; and three sisters, Bertha Rice, Josephine Wierheke, and Betty Dorrel. Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, January 27, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. A scheduled family visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Monday, January 26, 2015, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Monday, January 26, 2015, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at the Brassfield Cemetery, Chillicothe, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to the Brassfield Cemetery and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601.
