Neelie M. Churchill
Neelie M. Churchill passed away peacefully on August 6, 2019, at Pathways Hospice in Loveland, Colorado, at the age of 42. She was born on October 28, 1976, in Chillicothe, Missouri, to David M. and Virginia Jo Churchill. Neelie attended Chillicothe schools and was a member of the CHS Class of 1995. She graduated from Northeastern Oklahoma A&M with an associate's degree, from the University of Missouri with bachelor's degrees in plant sciences and animal sciences, and a master's in public health. She was most recently the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services Deputy State Registrar in Jefferson City, Missouri. She was a member of the Chillicothe United Methodist Church and Chapter T, PEO.
Neelie was a woman of many talents and interests. She enjoyed showing her horse, Magic, gardening and canning, card making, quilting and camping. Above all, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her niece, Maggie, and nephew, Vince, and the many friends she made throughout her life.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Bennie F. Patchen, Jr., Rose Lee Patchen, and aunt, Helen Margaret Patchen and her paternal grandparents, Donald G. "Boot" Churchill, Mary Jane Churchill, and uncle, Randy Churchill. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her brother, Donald P. Churchill and wife Wendi, her brother, David M. "Duke" Churchill, Jr., her nieces and nephews, Margaret Jane Churchill, Vincent Mosby Churchill, Luke and Seth Branson, and Charlotte McGrath, her aunts and uncles, Bennie F. Patchen, III, and wife Brenda, and Julie Longwell and husband, Mark and her cousins, Clint and Clay (Andrea) Longwell, and Zach (Becca) and Trevor Link, and many additional aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Neelie was sustained by her deep faith in our Lord and Savior. She will be forever loved and treasured by her family and countless friends. Funeral services will be held at the United Methodist Church, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Monday, August 12, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. A scheduled visitation will be held at the United Methodist Church, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Sunday, August 11, 2019, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Sunday, August 11, 2019, from 12 noon until 3:00 p.m. A private family inurnment will be at Edgewood Cemetery, Chillicothe, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Forest O.
