Nancy Sue Wright Nancy Sue Wright, age 82, a resident of Braymer, Missouri passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at Liberty Hospital, Liberty Missouri. Nancy was born the daughter of Forest L. and Vertie (Black) Dean on November 4, 1934 in Dearborn, Missouri. She was a 1952 graduate of Dearborn High School. Nancy played basketball for the Dearborn Hornets on the 1952 Championship team. She graduated from Christian College in Columbia, Missouri in 1956, obtaining her Associates in Arts Degree. She began her career at Prudential Insurance Company in Kansas City, Missouri in 1956. This is where she met longtime friend Sammie Heavner. After much encouragement Sammie and Bruce Heavner set Nancy up on a blind date with a tall handsome Braymer boy. On March 9, 1958 she was united in marriage to Donald Eugene Wright in Dearborn, Missouri. He preceded her in death on June 18, 2011. Into this union God blessed them with four children Deana, Donna, Lyndel and Loren. In 1965 Don and Nancy moved the family from Kansas City to begin a dairy farm and Wright Tax Service in Braymer, Missouri. Nancy was a bookkeeper and secretary for over 50 years. After 12 years of farming the family moved into town. Nancy was very active in the Braymer Community and held many leadership roles. She was always willing to help in any way with her gentle, kind and loving touch. Nancy was a member of the American Legion Post #117 Ladies Auxiliary, P.E.O., Braymer Chamber of Commerce, Tuesday Study Club, United Methodist Women, Tobbin Valley Club, The Red Hat Society, Braymer Historical Society, a 4-H leader and Sunday school teacher. She was an active member of the Braymer United Methodist Church. Survivors include: Two Daughters Deana Osgood and husband Kirk Of Chaska, Minnesota, and Donna Wright of Liberty, Missouri. Two sons Charles Lyndel Wright and wife Wendy of Springfield, Missouri and Loren Wright and wife Bobbie of Kearney, Missouri. Nancy is also survived by eight grandchildren; Abigail Viszlay, Anthony Viszlay and Lynn Rogers, John Andrew Viszlay and Megan Graffunder, Lauren Thompson and husband Travis, and Isaac Brizendine, Kassandra Wright, Halle and Hayden Wright. Three great grandchildren Alexia Viszlay, Paxton Thompson, and James Graffunder. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Donald Wright. A celebration of life will be held at the Braymer United Methodist Church Braymer, Missouri on Saturday November 4, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. A family visitation will be held at the church one hour prior to the service from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. Friends may call on Friday November 3, 2017 at the Lindley Pitts Funeral Home Braymer, Missouri from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Burial will be held at Evergreen Cemetery Braymer, Missouri.
