N. "Henry" Applebury N. "Henry" Applebury, age 87, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Friday, March 23, 2012, at Heartland Hospital, St. Joseph, Missouri. Henry was born the son of Gifford and Edna (Daugherty) Applebury on February 21, 1925, in Carroll County, Missouri. He was a 1943 graduate of Avalon High School. Henry was a member of the United States Marines during World War II from 1945-1947. He was united in marriage to Freda Gray on May 22, 1949, in Princeton, Missouri. She preceded him in death on August 30, 2009. Henry worked for Midland Brick and Tile for 20 years as an electrician, and did farming on the side. Henry was a member of the Liberty Methodist Church, and also attended the Free Methodist Church, the Masonic Lodge #539, serving as a 50 year Pass Master, and was also a member of the Eastern Star. Survivors include two sons, David Applebury and wife Elaine of Dearborn, Missouri, Tracy Applebury and wife Barbara of Trenton, Missouri; two daughters, Alice Ann Tucker and husband Teddy of Chillicothe, Missouri, Lora Glowacki and husband Bob of Waterloo, Illinois; five grandchildren, Teresa Ausberger and husband Matt of Stewartsville, Missouri, Brent Applebury of St. Joseph, Missouri, Kelsey Applebury of Dearborn, Missouri, Cole Glowacki of Waterloo, Illinois, Drew Glowacki of Waterloo, Illinois; one great grandchild Audrionna Ausberger of Stewartsville, Missouri; two sisters, Jane King of Chillicothe, Missouri, and Jean Plummer and husband Tommie of Fort Worth, Texas; and friend Maxine Bevelle. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Freda; and one brother Alvis Applebury. Funeral services will be held at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Wednesday, March 28, 2012, at 1:30 p.m. A Masonic Service will be held at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, March 27, 2012, at 5:30 p.m. A family visitation will be held at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, March 27, 2012, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, March 27, 2012, from 12 noon until 9:00 p.m. Burial will be held in Edgewood Cemetery, Chillicothe, Missouri.
