Mildred L. Saale Mildred L. Saale, age 88, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at Hedrick Medical Center, Chillicothe, Missouri. Mildred was born the daughter of Christian and Clair (Gladieux) Gier on February 4, 1923 in Chillicothe, Missouri. She was a 1940 graduate of St. Joseph Academy in Chillicothe, Missouri. She then attended the Chillicothe Business College. On April 29, 1944 she was united in marriage to Donald Saale in Sherman, Texas. He preceded her in death on May 2, 2007. She was a member of the St. Columban's Catholic Church. She was also a member in the St. Ann's Altar Society, the American Legion Auxiliary, Knights of Columbus Auxiliary, Chillicothe Garden Club, the Grand River Historical Society, Hedrick Medical Center Auxiliary, a regular attendee of the Grand River Multi-Purpose Center, R.S.V.P., Meals on Wheels, Chillicothe Area Arts Council, Grand River YMCA, volunteer at Bishop Hogan School, and a 35 year season ticket holder of the Kansas City Chiefs. Survivors include four sons, Richard Saale of Chillicothe, Missouri, David Saale of Kansas City, Missouri, Mark Saale and wife Michelle of Kansas City, Missouri, and Thomas Saale and wife Ilcy of Atlanta, Georgia; four daughters, Vicki Breashears of Kansas City, Missouri; Donna Saccaro and husband John of Hamilton, Missouri, Nancie Saccaro and husband Jim of Brookfield, Missouri, and Julie Mulloy of Kansas City, Missouri; nine grandchildren, Gary Breashears and wife Michelle of Kansas City, Missouri, Mark Saccaro and wife Melanie of Kansas City, Missouri, Nicholas Saccaro and wife Kim of Chicago, Illinois, Adrienne Frazier and husband Matt of Kansas City, Missouri, Katy Hageman and husband Phil of Roeland Park, Kansas, Meagan Saale of Kansas City, Missouri, Samantha Cooper and husband Shawn of Kansas City, Missouri, John A. Saale of Atlanta, Georgia, and Lauren Saale of Atlanta, Georgia; four great grandchildren, Quinn Saccaro of Chicago, Illinois, Owen Breashears of Kansas City, Missouri, Corrina Hageman of Roeland Park, Kansas, Tate Saccaro of Kansas City, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Donald; brother Victor Gier; one infant son Gregory Saale; two sisters, Josephine Giles, and Jeanette Gier; one son-in-law Ron Breashears; one daughter-in-law Rebecca Saale. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Columban's Catholic Church, Chillicothe, Missouri on Saturday, September 24, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. A Parish Rosary will be held at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri on Friday, September 23, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. with a visitation to follow. Friends may call the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri on Friday, September 23, 2011 from 12 noon until 9:00 p.m. Burial will be at St. Columban's Catholic Cemetery, Chillicothe, Missouri.
