Mildred Yvonne Murray, age 90, a resident of Braymer, Missouri, passed away on Friday, December 17, 2021, at her residence.
Yvonne was born on April 5, 1931, in Culver, Kansas, to Claude and Pauline (Wiley) Weis. She was united in marriage to Robert Leslie Murray of Braymer, Missouri, on January 8, 1949. They lived on a farm South of Braymer all of their married life. Robert preceded her in death on February 27, 1989, at the age of 63.  Yvonne worked at the Chillicothe Girls School for 10 years, and 10 years at the Golden Age Nursing Home. She belonged to the Braymer Christian Church, was a member of the S.I.S., was a Red Hatter, and a member of the Pleasant Hill Lyons Club. She delivered Meals on Wheels for years with her brother, Leonard. Yvonne loved to watch the Chiefs play. She also enjoyed sewing, and made many quilts; one for all of her children and each of her grandchildren. Most of all, Yvonne loved family get-togethers.
Survivors include two sons, Rick Murray and wife Carla, and Bob Murray and wife Shirley both of Braymer, Missouri; six grandchildren, Jacob and Mellisa Murray, Meagan Murray and Allen Gillespie, Greg and Jennifer Murray, Cortney and Chad Richman, Ronnie Murray and Caleb Shively, and Michael Murray; and elven great grandchildren. Yvonne was also survived by one brother, Leonard Weis; one sister, Judy Claypole and husband George; three sisters-in-law, Letty Weis, Pat Murray, and Edith Murray; and one brother-in-law, Lavere McBee. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert; one son, David Murray; two brothers, Rodney and Virgil Weis; one sister, Mary McBee, one sister-in-law, Ruth Ann Weis; and one nephew, Scott Weis.
Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Pitts Funeral Home, Braymer, Missouri, on Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. A scheduled visitation will be held at the Lindley Pitts Funeral Home, Braymer, Missouri, on Wednesday, December 22, 2021, one hour prior to the service at 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Pitts Funeral Home, Braymer, Missouri, on Tuesday, December 21, 2021, from 12 noon until 6:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Evergreen Cemetery, Braymer, Missouri.
