Mildred Elizabeth Hilt Mildred Elizabeth Hilt, age 88, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, March 30, 2016, at The Baptist Home, Chillicothe, Missouri. Mildred was born the daughter of Lester and Edna (Richeson) Johnson on April 13, 1927, in her family home south of Avalon, Missouri. She was a 1945 graduate of Avalon High School. She was united in marriage to Stanley Hilt on September 26, 1945, in Wyandotte County, Kansas. To this union one daughter, Teresa Sue Hilt was born on January 6, 1951. Mildred and Stanley were married 51 years. He preceded her in death on December 26, 1996. Mildred was an Avon Representative prior to working for Jerry Broyles Real Estate from 1969 until 1979. She received her broker license in 1980, and began Hilt Real Estate until 1991. She cared for her husband until his death in 1996. Mildred was a member of the First Baptist Church, Chillicothe, Missouri. She served as President of the North Central Missouri Board of Realtors. She was also a member of the Chillicothe Elks Lodge #656 Auxiliary, the Chillicothe Eagles Auxiliary, the Chilli Red Hats, and was a charter member of the Bizzy Belles extension club. Survivors include nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Stanley; daughter, Teresa Sue Hilt in 1973; and two sisters, Helen Nibarger and Doris Reeves; and one brother, Francis Alison Johnson. Funeral services will be held at the First Baptist Church, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Friday, April 1, 2016, at 3:00 p.m. There is no scheduled family visitation. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Thursday, March 31, 2016, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. and again at the First Baptist Church, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Friday, April 1, 2016, from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Edgewood Cemetery, Chillicothe, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to the Northwest Missouri Baptist Home and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601.
