Mildred Bradbury Mildred Bradbury, age 95, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, May 12, 2013, at Indian Hills, Chillicothe, Missouri. Mildred was born the daughter of Earl and Imo (Coberly) Bradbury on January 26, 1918, in Chillicothe, Missouri. She was a 1936 graduate of Chillicothe High School. She attended Central Methodist University, Fayette, Missouri, from 1938 until 1939, before attending Washington University School of Nursing, where she graduated in 1942, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. Mildred served in the United States Navy as a Nurse during World War II from 1943 until 1946. She then served as a Nurse in the United States Navy during the Korean War from 1951 until 1953. She worked in the Admissions Department and also as a Nurse for Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri, from 1954 until 1970. Mildred was a member of the United Methodist Church, Chillicothe, Missouri. To honor her mother and father, Earl and Imo Bradbury, a portion of Miss. Bradbury's estate will be gifted to a local charitable foundation. Survivors include one cousin, Beverly Thiede of Minnetonka, Minnesota. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Wednesday, May 15, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. There is no scheduled family visitation. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, May 14, 2013, from 12 noon until 6:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Edgewood Cemetery, Chillicothe, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to the Livingston County Community Development Foundation and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601.
