Mike Gene Head, Sr.

Michael (Mike) Gene Head, Sr. Michael (Mike) Gene Head, Sr., age 57, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, November 30, 2013, at his residence surrounded by his family. Mike was born the son of Gail and Neva (Sizemore) Head, Sr., on May 28, 1956, in Chillicothe, Missouri. He was a 1974 graduate of Chillicothe High School. He was united in marriage to Jackie Hayes on July 6, 1974, in Chillicothe, Missouri. She survives of the home. He worked for MoDOT for 11 years. Mike was a member of the Souls Harbor Church of God, Chillicothe, Missouri. He was an avid hunter, fisher, and trapper. Survivors include his wife, Jackie; two sons, Mike Head, Jr. of Chillicothe, Missouri, and Justin Head of Chillicothe, Missouri; two daughters, Shree Pulley and husband Jonathan of Hamilton, Missouri, and Eva Baker and husband Jeff of Hamilton, Missouri; eight grandchildren; mother, Neva Head of Chillicothe, Missouri; one brother, Gail Head, Jr. and wife Margaret of Chillicothe, Missouri; two sisters, Teresa King of Utica, Missouri, and Punky Betty Shaw of Chillicothe, Missouri; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father; one brother-in-law, Chuck King. Funeral services will be held at the Highview Baptist Church, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Thursday, December 5, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. A scheduled family visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Wednesday, December 4, 2013, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Wednesday, December 4, 2013, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe, Missouri. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Mike Head Memorial Fund and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601.
