Lawrence Michael Bonderer Lawrence Michael Bonderer, age 62, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, July 2nd, at his home surrounded by his loving wife of 42 years, children, grandchildren, brothers and sisters.Mike was the first born of 11 children to Lawrence Albert "Al" and Berniece (Phillips) Bonderer on October 22, 1953, in Chillicothe, Missouri. He was united in marriage to Mary Diane Gibson November 17th, 1973, at St Columban's Church in Chillicothe, Missouri. Mike was a graduate of Chillicothe High School in 1971 and attended University of Missouri, Columbia where he was a member of the Alpha Gamma Sigma fraternity. Mike was a lifelong resident of Chillicothe and worked for the U.S. Postal Service for over 30 years. He attended St. Columban's Catholic Church, was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council No. 1084 3rd degree and served as past Grand Knight. He was a past President of Livingston County Fair Board, a past President of Missouri Farm Bureau, a member of the Livingston County Rural Fire Board, and a member of the MFA Oil Board and a State Delegate. He was a coach/manager for the Vern R. Glick Legion baseball team for two years. Mike's passion was his family, his faith, his farm, and his music.Survivors include: wife, Diane Bonderer; four sons, Steve "Butch" Bonderer and wife Stacey of Chillicothe, Doug Bonderer and wife Jodi of Chillicothe, Brad Bonderer and wife Taylor of Olathe, KS, and Connor Bonderer of Chillicothe; two daughters, Kim Kieffer and husband Jason of Chillicothe, and Carrie Wagner and husband Todd of Lenexa, KS; fourteen grandchildren, Tanner Lent, Cason Bonderer, Bridgett, Kennedie, Delanie, and Evie Kieffer; Brenton, Sebastian, Abrahm, and Langston Wagner; Addie Ficken, Sadie & Libbie Bonderer; and Leighton (Milo) Bonderer; mother Berniece Bonderer; four brothers, David Bonderer of West Alton, Mark (Gracie) Bonderer of Chillicothe, Joe (April) Bonderer of Blue Springs, and Tim (Staci) Bonderer of Kearney; 6 sisters, Pam (Dave) Brobst of Chillicothe, Teresa (Ted) Hicks of Chillicothe, Rose (Rodney) Rinehart of Chillicothe, Susan (Donnie) Keller of Chillicothe, Anne (Terry) McKiddy of Chillicothe, and Barbie (Paul) Sanson of Lee's Summit ; Mother-­in­-Law Joan Gibson, Brother­-in-­Law Floyd (Anita) Gibson and Sister-­in­-Law Nancy (Oren) Baker; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his father and Father-­in-­Law.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Columban's Catholic Church, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Thursday, July 7, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. A Parish Rosary will be held at St. Columban's Catholic Church, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Wednesday July 6, 2016, at 6:00 p.m. with a visitation to follow. Friends may call the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, Wednesday, July 6, 2016, from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Burial will be held at St. Columban's Catholic Cemetery, Chillicothe, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bishop Hogan School and/or St. Columban's Restoration Fund and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601.
