Michael "Mike" Eugene Schneider, age 70, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Friday, September 20, 2019, at his residence.
Mike was born the son of Eugene E. and Ruth E. (Muck) Schneider on September 23, 1948, in Chillicothe, Missouri. He was a 1966 graduate of St. Joseph's Academy, Chillicothe, Missouri. Mike was united in marriage to Beverly Brobst on December 2, 1967, in Chillicothe, Missouri. She preceded him in death on March 22, 2004. He worked as a lineman for REA in Chillicothe, Missouri, for many years. He then worked for Irvinbilt in Chillicothe, Missouri, and retired from JE Dunn Construction Company in 2006. He was a member of the St. Columban Catholic Church, Chillicothe, Missouri. He was also a member of the Carpenters Union, the Chillicothe Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie No. 2428, and the Chillicothe Elks Lodge #656. Mike enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and gardening.
Survivors include one son, Michael Schneider and wife Emily of Lee's Summit, Missouri; one daughter, Kelly Hatfield and husband Garrett of Kansas City, Missouri; six grandchildren, Wesley Schneider, Will Schneider, Emma Schneider, Cole Schneider, Grace Hatfield, and Connor Hatfield; two brothers, Steve Schneider and Randy Juwig of Merriam, Kansas, and Randy Schneider of Chillicothe, Missouri; two sisters, Linda Schneider and Donnie Lamp of Chillicothe, Missouri, and Karen Case and husband Rodney of Chillicothe, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Beverly; and infant sister, Vicki Lynn Schneider.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the St. Columban Catholic Church, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Wednesday, September 25, 2019, at 10:00 a.m. A Parish Rosary will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, September 24, 2019, at 6:00 p.m., with visitation to follow. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, September 24, 2019, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at St. Columban Catholic Cemetery, Chillicothe, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Columban Catholic Church and/or St. Columban Catholic Cemetery and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O.
