Michael Carl Johnson

Michael Carl Johnson, age 65, of Carrollton, Missouri, passed away on Monday, November 18, 2024 at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born the son of Robert William and Laura Nell (Collins) Johnson on June 11, 1959 in Chillicothe, Missouri. Mike spent a life dedicated to his family, his passions and the land he cherished.
Mike retired from Ray-Carroll County Grain Growers as an elevator operator in Carrollton, Missouri. He devoted his life to farming and agriculture. He was known for his love of the outdoors and found joy in hunting, fishing and old cars. He loved attending car races and car shows. A committed family man, Mike found immense joy in his children and grandchildren and was a constant presence at their activities, cherishing every moment with them.
Mike was a man of faith, having accepted the Lord at Mt. Carmel Christian Church and was baptized at the Braymer Christian Church. His gentle spirit and strong moral compass guided him throughout his life.
He is survived by his loving children, Chris Johnson of Norborne, Missouri, Cole Johnson and his wife, Astrid of North Kansas City, Missouri, and Cara Jessa and her husband, Rob of Kansas City, Missouri. His legacy lives on through his cherished grandchildren, Malachi and Kennasyn Johnson, Haidyn and Maddox Jessa, and Marley Johnson. Mike is also survived by his devoted sisters, Marge Pollard and her husband, Eric of Braymer, Missouri, and Laurie Johnson and Chuck Anderson of Carrollton, Missouri; sister-in-law, Brenda Johnson of Braymer, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews. Mike was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Bob Johnson; his nephew, Landon Johnson; and great niece, Winter Perrelli.
Funeral services will be held at Braymer Christian Church, Braymer, Missouri, on Friday, November 22, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. A scheduled visitation will be held at Lindley Pitts Funeral Home, Braymer, Missouri, on Thursday, November 21, 2024 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Pitts Funeral Home, Braymer, Missouri, on Thursday, November 21, 2024 from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Evergreen Cemetery, Braymer, Missouri.
