Melody Newman Melody Newman, age 70, a resident of Bevier, Missouri, passed away on Monday, September 3, 2012, in Chillicothe, Missouri. Melody was born the daughter of Lloyd and Louise Walston on August 24, 1942, in Bloomington, Illinois. She was a 1960 graduate of Macon High School. Melody loved collecting dolls and antiques. She is survived by one son, Darin Newman, and wife Erica, of Chillicothe, Missouri; one step-brother Jack Nelson, of Wichita, Kansas; one sister, Dixie Pfeiffer, of Hazelwood, Missouri; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and one step-father Lloyd Nelson. Graveside services will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery, Macon, Missouri, on Friday, September 7, 2012, at 1:00 p.m. A scheduled family visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Thursday, September 6, 2012, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Thursday, September 6, 2012, from 12 noon until 9:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Woodlawn Cemetery and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O.
