Melissa Jane Yelton Melissa Jane Yelton, age 74, a resident of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away on Monday, October 12, 2015, at North Kansas City Hospital, North Kansas City, Missouri. Melissa was born the daughter of John R., Jr. and Frances Rhea (Hudgins) McKinney Yelton on November 7, 1940, in Kansas City, Missouri. She attended the Oakwood Baptist Church, Kansas City, Missouri. Survivors include one sister, Phyllis Manning of Kansas City, Missouri; one niece, Stephanie Manning of Kansas City, Missouri; and one nephew, Timothy Manning of Boston, Massachusetts. She was preceded in death by her parents. A Graveside Service will be held at the Christian Church Cemetery, Mooresville, Missouri, on Saturday, October 24, 2015, at 10:30 a.m. There is no scheduled family visitation.
