Maxine Geneva Pittman, age 79, a resident of Centerton, Arkansas, passed away on Thursday, February 9, 2012, at Northwest Medical Center, Bentonville, Arkansas. She was born on March 25, 1932, the daughter of Leonard Carrol and Nancy Emogene (Clay) Young in Many, Louisiana. On July 28, 1976, she married Delbert L. Pittman in Brush, Colorado. He preceded her in death on August 21, 2005. Maxine was a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, until relocating to Centerton, Arkansas in 2005. She worked as an LPN. She was a member of the United Penecostal Church. She is survived by two sons, James E. Oldham and wife Rae of Jacksonville, North Carolina and Roy L. Oldham and wife Lisa of Jacksonville, North Carolina; three daugthers, Janice M. Boyle and husband Bernard of Centerton, Arkansas, Glenda M. Robertson of Jacksonville, North Carlolina, and Nancy J. "Nita" DeLong of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; one step-daughter, Sue Harvey and husband Fred Temple of Chillicothe, Missouri; one brother, John A. Young of Natchitoches, Louisiana; three sisters, Alice Marie Stovis of Dayton, Ohio, Patsy Jo Bennett of Natchitoches, Louisiana, and Margie Ruth Ellis of Mississippi; 16 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Delbert, and two sisters, Georgia Elain Bixby and Alma Jean Theriotle. Funeral services will be held at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, February 14, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. A family visitation will be held at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Monday, February 13, 2012, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friends may call at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Monday, February 13, 2012, from 12 noon until 9:00 p.m. Burial will be held in Wheeling Cemetery, Wheeling, Missouri.
