Maxine Louise Allen

Maxine Louise "Susie" Allen Maxine Louise "Susie" Allen, age 79, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, September 10, 2014, at Pleasant Valley Manor Care Center, Liberty, Missouri. Susie was born the daughter of Homer Edward and Lorene M. (Churchill) Stambach on January 6, 1935, in Meadville, Missouri. She was a 1952 graduate of Chillicothe High School. She was united in marriage to Paul Thomas Allen on June 11, 1952, in Chillicothe, Missouri. He preceded her in death on November 10, 1995. She worked as a clerk for Churchill Truck lines and as a bookkeeper for Lambert's Glove for many years. She was a member of the Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, Chillicothe, Missouri. She was also a member of the Red Hatters, Hedrick Medical Auxiliary, Chillicothe Garden Club, and the Busy Belles of Chillicothe. Susie loved to crochet, cross stitch, quilt, and travel. Survivors include two sons, Blaine "Thomas" Allen and wife Connie of Liberty, Missouri and Tracy Lee Allen and wife Pam of Excelsior Springs, Missouri; eight grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul; one son, Thimothy Edward Allen; and one brother, Max Stambach. Graveside services will be held at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Monday, September 15, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. A scheduled family visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Sunday, September 14, 2014, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Sunday, September 14, 2014, from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Hedrick Medical Auxiliary and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O.
