Max E. Meneely Max E. Meneely, age 75, a resident of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, March 26, 2017, at Liberty Hospital, Liberty, Missouri. Max was born the son of Rex Riley and Esther Maxine (Deem) Meneely on August 14, 1941, in Madison, Wisconsin. He was a 1959 graduate of Chillicothe High School. After high school, he attended the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg, Missouri. He then attended Missouri Western State University, St. Joseph, Missouri, graduating with his Bachelors of Science Degree. Max retired from the United States Air Force where he served as Chief Master Sergeant. He was united in marriage to Yong Yi on April 24, 1981, in Seoul, South Korea. She survives of the home. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Chillicothe, Missouri. He was a member of the Roy L. Burkett VFW Post #858. Survivors include his wife, Yong Meneely of the home; two daughters, Sandy Colabionomi and husband Marcus of San Francisco, California, Sally Atkins and husband Romon of Long Beach, California; five grandchildren, Kevin Atkins of Long Beach, California, Kyle Atkins of Long Beach, California, Mia, Michael, and Nadi Colabionomi of San Francisco, California; and three sisters, Pat Reeter and husband Larry of Chillicothe, Missouri, Beverly Brown and husband Larry of Kansas City, Missouri, and Linda Lionberger and husband Richard of Savannah, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents; two infant brothers; and brother, Rex Meneely, Jr. A memorial service will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Saturday, April 1, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. A scheduled family visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Saturday, April 1, 2017, one hour prior to the service at 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Friday, March 31, 2017, from 12 noon until 6:00 p.m. and on Saturday, April 1, 2017, from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Inurnment will be held at Meadville Cemetery, Meadville, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to Meadville Cemetery and/or the Vern R. Glick American Legion Post #25 and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O.
