Max Woodson Hall, age 69, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away at North Kansas City Hospital, North Kansas City, Missouri, on Sunday, June 6, 2010. He was born the son of Raymond Owen and Rosa Mae (Allnutt) Hall on March 22, 1941, in Chillicothe, Missouri. On June 21, 1993, he married Dee Nibarger in Chillicothe, Missouri. She survives of the home. Max attended Chillicothe High School and served in the United States Navy during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He was an officer for the Chillicothe Police Department where he served as Sergeant and Investigator. He was the manager of the Country Kitchen for several years. Max was a corrections officer for the Missouri Department of Corrections for fifteen years, during which he worked at the Missouri State Penitentiary "The Walls" in Jefferson City, Moberly Correctional Center, and Chillicothe Correctional Center. He also worked at Trenton Foods and Gully Trucking. Max was the first man to complete the Chillicothe Beauty Academy and owned his own shop in Brookfield, Missouri. Most recently Max worked as a Greeter for the Chillicothe Wal-Mart. He was a member of the Missouri Amphibious Navy and Past President of the Chillicothe Boat Club. He enjoyed collecting cars, remodeling houses and woodworking. He is also survived by four daughters, Kelly Williams of Chillicothe, Missouri, Kristi Clark and Steve of Chillicothe, Missouril, Kim Hall of Murietta, California, and Shelly Wedlock and son-in-law Mark of Cameron, Missouri; two brothers, Owen Hall and sister-in-law Josie of Canton, Texas, and Gary Hall and sister-in-law Becky of Trenton, Missouri; one honorary brother, Larry Ashford of Chillicothe, Missouri; two sisters, Carolyn Rolland and brother-in-law Lane of Springfield, Missouri, and Pam Bauer and brother-in-law Greg of Clinton, Missouri; one brother-in-law Terry Nibarger and wife Julie of Chillicothe, Missouri; one sister-in-law Rosalee Suchsland of Chillicothe, Missouri; ten grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and sixteen nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Raymond Ellis Hall; one son, Curtis Hall; and two nephews, Nick Bauer and Phillip Hall. Services will be at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri on Wednesday, June 9, 2010, at 1:30 p.m. There will be a scheduled family visitation on Tuesday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri. Friends may call after 12:00 noon until 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday and from 8:00 a.m. until service time on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Utica Cemetery, Utica, Missouri.
