Maurice Kennie Farrell, age 68, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, October 12, 2021, at his residence.
Maurice was born the son of James Kennie and Lucille (Chapple) Farrell on Sunday, July 3, 1953, in Boonville, Missouri. He was a 1971 graduate of Laura Speed High School.  Maurice attended the University of Missouri-Columbia and received a bachelor's in education in 1976 and a master's degree from the University of Missouri in 1979.  He worked for the Chillicothe R-II School district for over 20 years retiring as the high school librarian in 2007.  Maurice enjoyed playing golf, following various sport, especially CHS Football, the Mizzou Tigers, the KC Royals and the KC Chiefs. Most of all he enjoyed reading.
Survivors include: his brother, Mike Farrell and wife Marilyn of Plano, Texas, one niece, Elizabeth Neumann and husband Gil of Virginia, one nephew, Grant Farrell and wife Jennifer of Texas, great niece Madelyne, and great nephews Jax, Beckham, Bauer, and Joshua. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Graveside services will be held at Walnut Grove Cemetery, Boonville, Missouri, on Saturday, October 16, 2021, at 2:00 p.m.  Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Friday, October 15, 2021, from 9:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to CHS Football Alumni Fund and/or the Donor's Choice and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O.
