Mary Ann Young

Mary Ann Young Mary Ann Young, age 86, a resident of Trenton, Missouri, formerly of Laredo, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, November 11, 2017, at her residence. Mary was born the daughter of Herman and Dorothy (Massingill) Ericson on November 26, 1930, in Lafayette, Illinois. She was united in marriage to Robert D. Young on November 12, 1949, in Galva, Illinois. He preceded her in death on October 20, 2011. She was a member of the Faith Bible Baptist Church, Trenton, Missouri. Mary enjoyed putting together puzzles, playing Yahtzee, and walking her dog, Buddy. Survivors include three sons, Stephen Young and wife Tina of St. Joseph, Missouri, David Young and wife Toni of Rocky Mount, North Carolina, and Jim Young of Laredo, Missouri; three daughters, Cathy Pierce of Leitchfield, Kentucky, Candace "Jo Anne" Carter and husband Gary of Cincinnati, Iowa, and Connie Nickell of Princeton, Missouri; fourteen grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren; one sister, Bernice Greene of Portland, Texas; and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert; three grandchildren, Dustin Pierce, Zackery Young, and Derrek Pierce; and son-in-law, Ernie Pierce. Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Laredo, Missouri, on Wednesday, November 15, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. A scheduled family visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Laredo, Missouri, on Wednesday, November 15, 2017, one hour prior to the service at 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Laredo, Missouri, on Tuesday, November 14, 2017, from 12 noon until 6:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Alpha Cemetery, Laredo, Missouri.
