Mary Catherine Walton Mary Catherine Walton, age 96, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, September 15, 2012, at Morningside Center, Chillicothe, Missouri. Mary was born the daughter of Earnest and Stella (Roach) Rensch on July 7, 1916, in Laredo, Missouri. She was a 1934 graduate of Laredo High school. After graduation, she attended Kirksville Teachers State College, where she graduated in 1954 with a Bachelor's Degree in Education. Mary was an elementary school teacher and taught in rural schools in and near Galt and Spickard, and then for 27 years at Atwater Elementary School in Atwater, California. She was united in marriage to Victor McCulley, from the East Fairview community, north of Galt, in 1939, and they enjoyed 43 years together. He preceded her in death in 1982. She then married Merle Goodner in 1983, and after his death, she married Bud Walton in 1990. After she was widowed, Mary returned to Missouri to reside in Chillicothe in 1995. Mary was a member of the East Fairview Methodist Church, Galt, Missouri, the Missouri Retired Teachers Association, the California Retired Teachers Association, and the Vern R. Glick American Legion Post #25 Auxiliary. Survivors include, one daughter, Lyalla Aguirre and husband Jason of Atwater, California; one granddaughter, Sara Dias of Atwater, California; nine nieces, Mary Lou Jones and husband Don of Alba, Texas, Doris Beck of Boulder, Colorado, Reva Treese of Vincennes, Indiana, Jeannette Wengert of Montezuma, Iowa, Darlene Williams of Leawood, Kansas, Nadine Gibler, Betty Brown and Maxine Knight all of Trenton, Missouri, and Veda Anderson of Smithton, Missouri; three nephews, Lloyd McCulley of Trenton, Missouri, Melvin Berry of Galt, Missouri, and Ronald Dale McCulley of Belleville, Illinois; two stepdaughters, Bobbye LaMalsa of Potter Valley, California, and Carol Walton Benson of Chico, California; two cousins, Fred Burress, Jr. and Susan Plumb, both of Trenton, Missouri. She is also survived by longtime friends, Gordon Smith, Lowell Smith, Richard Smith, and Jean Griesbach. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband (s), Victor McCulley, Merle Goodner, 1989, and "Bud" Walton, 1995; and one brother John Rensch and wife Mildred.
