Mary Lynn Meeker Smith Mary Lynn Meeker Smith, age 57, a resident of Laredo, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2014, at her daughter's residence. Mary was born the daughter of Billy Joe and Dorothy (Thomas) Meeker on March 1, 1957, in Trenton, Missouri. She was a 1976 graduate of Trenton High School. She worked for North Missouri Baptist Home as a Housekeeper and Housekeeping Supervisor for many years. Mary was a member of the Alpha Baptist Church, Alpha, Missouri. She loved planting flowers, gardening, cross stitching, and spending time with her children and granddaughter. Survivors include her parents, Billy Joe and Dorothy Meeker of Laredo, Missouri; one son, Nevin Smith of Alpha, Missouri; one daughter, Jennifer Courtney of Laredo, Missouri; one granddaughter, Jessica Courtney of Laredo, Missouri; significant other, Edward Shepard of the home; one brother, Kenny Meeker and wife Karen of Laredo, Missouri; two nephews, Jason Meeker and wife Kim of Laredo, Missouri and Eric Meeker of Galt, Missouri; one niece, Kelci Parsons and husband Brandon of Lamoni, Iowa; and two great nieces, Ellie and Summer Meeker. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Beryl and Leacha Meeker; maternal grandparents, William "Bus" and Ruby Thomas; and one nephew, Scott Meeker. Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, March 25, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. A scheduled family visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Monday, March 24, 2014, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Monday, March 24, 2014, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Alpha Cemetery, Alpha, Missouri.
