Mary "Alene" Paustian Mary "Alene" Paustian, age 94, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, June 28, 2017, at Indian Hills - A Stonebridge Community, Chillicothe, Missouri. Alene was born the daughter of Glenn R. and Katheryn (Meneely) Looney on July 27, 1922, in Breckenridge, Missouri. She was a 1939 graduate of Breckenridge High School. She was united in marriage to Hunter Paustian on June 28, 1945, in Russell, Kansas. He preceded her in death on October 4, 1997. She worked as a store clerk for Wonder Bread in Chillicothe, Missouri, for many years. Alene was a member of the Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, Chillicothe, Missouri. Survivors include, great granddaughter, Janessa Juckette of Chillicothe, Missouri; one sister, Carol Wells of Prairie Village, Kansas; one son-in-law, Tom Ireland of Chillicothe, Missouri; two sisters-in-law, Delia Looney of Peculiar, Missouri, and Sue Looney of Kansas City, Missouri; one brother-in-law, Jack Paustian of Midland, Texas; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Hunter; one son, James Alan Paustian; one daughter, Barbara Ireland; one grandson, Jarrett Lee Juckette; six brothers; and two sisters. Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Saturday, July 1, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. There is no scheduled family visitation. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Friday, June 30, 2017, from 12 noon until 6:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe, Missouri.
