Mary Faye Oster
Mary Faye Oster, age 60, a resident of Van Buren, Missouri, passed away on Friday, June 28, 2024, at Landmark Hospital, Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
Mary was born the daughter of Robert and Carmen (Seel) Langdon, on July 5, 1963, in Woodstock, Illinois. She attended Poplar Bluff High School. She was united in marriage to Lavere Oster. He preceded her in death. She enjoyed crocheting blankets, reading her Bible, putting puzzles together, egg salad sandwiches and sweet treats. Mary spent her entire life trying to achieve peace and happiness. We can hope now she has found that.
Mary is survived by one son, Lavere A. Oster of Kansas City, Missouri; one brother, Norman “Skip” (Drema) Langdon, of Lewisburg, West Virginia; three sisters, Sarah Wise (Gerald) of Higginsville, Missouri, Judith (Mel) Hardin of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and Barbara Davis of Sedalia, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lavere; and two sisters, Linda Copas and Beth Givens.
Funeral services will be held at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at 11:30 a.m. A scheduled visitation will be held at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. until service time. Friends may call at Lindley Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at the Evergreen Cemetery, Braymer, Missouri.
