Mary Margaret (Littrell) Dewey Norwood, age 93, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Monday, December 6, 2021, at Indian Hills - A Stonebridge Community, Chillicothe, Missouri.
Mary was born the daughter of Leon E. and Opal Nadine (Long) Littrell on January 3, 1928, in Wheeling, Missouri. She was united in marriage to Hal Norwood on October 21, 1969, in Kansas City, Missouri. He preceded her in death on February 3, 2006. Mary worked as a payroll clerk for Midwest Glove for many years. She was a member of the Wheeling Baptist Church from 1939 until 2012. In 2012, Mary became a member of the First Baptist Church of Chillicothe.
Survivors include two sons, Lonnie Dewey and wife Karen of Osage Beach, Missouri, and Jim Norwood and wife Donna of Sperry, Oklahoma; four grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Hal; two brothers, Max and Benny Littrell; and two sisters, Anna Ruth Pickering and Carol Gossick.
Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Monday, December 13, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. A scheduled visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Monday, December 13, 2021, one hour prior to the service at 12 noon until 1:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Sunday, December 12, 2021, from 12 noon until 5:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Wheeling Cemetery, Wheeling, Missouri.
