Mary M. Jennings

Mary M. Jennings, age 74, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away Friday, March 9, 2012, at Hedrick Medical Center in Chillicothe, Missouri. Mary was born on August 20, 1937, in Livingston County, Missouri, the daughter of Wallace Edwin and Mary (Lutz) James. On August 30, 1969, she was united in marriage to William D. (Bill) Jennings in Chillicothe, Missouri. He preceded her in death on August 10, 1999. Mary was a homemaker and also worked as a waitress. She lived in the Chillicothe area all of her life and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie #2428 in Chillicothe, Missouri. She was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include one son, Russell Minnis and wife Betsy of Higbee, Missouri; two daughters, Renee Bozarth and husband Don of Dawn, Missouri, and Reta Minnis of Lebanon, Oregon; two brothers, Wallace Edwin (Butch) James of Arizona and Michael Russell Adams of Lebanon, Oregon; three sisters, Rita McNelly of Buckner, Missouri, Dorothy Cosgrove of Chillicothe, Missouri, and Phyllis Sayer of Carrollton, Missouri; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Bill; two sons, Larry Dean Minnis and Bryan Scott Minnis; and two grandchildren, Joshua Boger and Dustin Minnis. A memorial graveside service will be held at Enon Cemetery, Dawn, Missouri, on Saturday, March 24, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. There is no scheduled family visitation. Friends may call after 8:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Friday at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri.
