Mary V. Finney
Mary V. Finney, age 84, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, a former resident of Hale, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, January 13, 2021, at Indian Hills - A Stonebridge Community, Chillicothe, Missouri.
Mary was born the daughter of Elmer and Ella (Norman) Lowe on September 25, 1936, in Wheeling, Missouri. She was a 1954 graduate of Hale High School. Mary was united in marriage to Harold Eugene Parker on September 14, 1956, in Chillicothe, Missouri. He preceded her in death on April 23, 1972. Mary and Harold owned and operated Hale Lumber Yard for 37 years. Mary was then united in marriage to Terry Finney on March 21, 1975, in Hale, Missouri. He survives of the home. She was a member of the Hale United Methodist Church, Hale, Missouri. She was active in the Hale Summer Program for many years. Mary loved going to Lake of the Ozark. She enjoyed going to her grandchildren's games. Mary was an avid fan of UConn Women's Basketball and Duke Men's Basketball.
Survivors include her husband, Terry Finney of the home; two sons, Jim Parker and wife Candy of Hale, Missouri, and John Parker and wife Rosie of Chillicothe, Missouri; five grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and one sister, Lois Jones of Chillicothe, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Harold Eugene Parker; and one sister, JoAnn Brown.
Graveside services will be held at Hale Cemetery, Hale, Missouri, on Friday, January 15, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. There is no scheduled visitation. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Hale, Missouri, on Thursday, January 14, 2021, from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hale Museum and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O.
