Mary Louise (Dupy) Malone, age 99, a resident of Springfield, Missouri, and former resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2020, at Birch Pointe Health and Rehabilitation in Springfield.
Louise was born to Hocey O. "Sam" and Edna (McNally) Dupy on May 11, 1920, in Chillicothe, Missouri. She was a 1938 graduate of Chillicothe High School and attended Chillicothe Business College until 1940. Louise was united in marriage to Donald W. Malone on November 8, 1942, in Chillicothe. Don preceded her in death on November 18, 1978. She worked in accounting at Montgomery Ward for many years and at the Ray Dupy Market in Chillicothe. Louise loved playing golf at the Chillicothe Country Club, and she was a member of the United Methodist Church, Chillicothe.
Survivors include one son, James D. "Jim" Malone, and wife Page of Springfield, Missouri; one daughter, Jo Ellen "Jody" Martin and husband Tom of Springfield; three grandchildren, Luke Malone of Ozark, Missouri, Rachel Malone of Springfield, and Andrew Martin of Springfield; as well as several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Don; and four brothers, Ray, John, Roy, and George "Bud" Dupy.
Graveside service will be held at Edgewood Cemetery, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, April 14, 2020, at 1:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, April 14, 2020, from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Autism Speaks or the American Heart Association and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, PO Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601.
