Mary Catherine Crookshanks

Mary Catherine Howard Crookshanks, age 85, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away at Morningside Center, Chillicothe, Missouri on Thursday, June 3, 2010. She was born the daughter of George Henry and Sophia Catherine (Hudson) Howard in Kansas City, Kansas on July 11, 1924. On October 27, 1945 she married James Loren Crookshanks in Kansas City, Kansas. He preceded her in death on May 9, 2001. She attended School and graduated in Braymer, Missouri. She worked at North America, building B25's during World War II and then at Boss Glove Factory in Chillicothe, Missouri for twenty-seven years. She is survived by one son James Crookshanks and wife Linda of Holt, Missouri; two daughters Sheila Cook and husband Jim of Chillicothe, Missouri and Ruth Montoya of Grain Valley, Missouri; eight grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, several great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents and one sister Dorthy Widmier. Services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Sunday, June 6, 2010, at 2:00 p.m. There is a scheduled family visitation on Saturday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri. Friends may call from 8:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Saturday and from 8:00 a.m. until service time on Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe, Missouri.
