Mary Malinda Breeze Mary Malinda Breeze, age 87, a resident of St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away on Monday, January 19, 2015, at her residence. Mary was born the daughter of Frank and Sadie (Brown) Tharp on August 5, 1927, in Mercer, Missouri. She was a 1946 graduate of Breckenridge High School. After graduation, she attended college at University of Central Missouri, in Warrensburg, Missouri. She was united in marriage to Junior (Lawson) Breeze on May 13, 1950, in Gallatin, Missouri. He preceded her in death in 1999. Mary worked as a Teacher at the Little Red School House in Jamesport. She was a caregiver of her parents. Mary worked at the Hamilton Nursing Home for several years. Mary loved spending time with her grandchildren and family, and enjoyed her yard work and flowers. Mary was a member of the Breckenridge Christian Church, where she was very active within the church. Survivors include two sons, Terry Breeze of Cameron, Missouri, and Gary Breeze and wife Debbie of Des Moines, Iowa; two daughters, Linda Martin and husband Roy of St. Joseph, Missouri, and Laura Herrington and husband Rick of Breckenridge, Missouri; fifteen grandchildren; thirty-eight great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and niece, Diane Logston. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jr.; three brothers, Elmer, W.H. and Lester Tharp; and nephew, Billy Tharp. Funeral services will be held at the Pitts Funeral Home, Breckenridge, Missouri, on Wednesday, January 21, 2015, at 1:00 p.m. A scheduled family visitation will be held at Pitts Funeral Home, Breckenridge, Missouri, on Wednesday, January 21, 2015, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Pitts Funeral Home, Breckenridge, Missouri, on Wednesday, January 21, 2015, from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Rose Hill Cemetery, Breckenridge, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to Mosaic Life Care Hospice and/or Disabled American Veterans and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601.
