Mary Catherine Bethards Mary Catherine Bethards, age 97, a resident of Trenton, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2016, at Sunnyview Nursing Home, Trenton, Missouri. Catherine was born the daughter of James W. and Mary Josephine (Hinnen) Bowe on January 25, 1919, in Livingston County, Missouri. She was united in marriage to Everett M. Bethards on January 10, 1936, in Chillicothe, Missouri. He preceded her in death on February 12, 1994. She worked at Midwest Gloves for 20 years. She also was a homemaker and was a cook for Chula School. Survivors include one son, Joe Bethards and wife Phyllis of Trenton, Missouri; two daughters, Mary Shanks and husband John of San Antonio, Texas, and Katie May and husband James of St. Joseph, Missouri; six grandchildren, Neal, Nancy, John (JJ), Mary Jane, Beckie, and Brenda; eight great grandchildren; nine great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Everett; two sisters, Mildred Hollingsworth, and Wanda Davis; and four brothers, Virgil, Glen, Fred, and Edwin Bowe. Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Saturday, July 30, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. There is no scheduled family visitation. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Friday, July 29, 2016, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at May Cemetery, Chula, Missouri.
