Marty Howard McIntosh, age 67, a resident of Braymer, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, January 1, 2025, at his residence.
Marty was born the son of Simian Howard and Nellie (Cain) McIntosh on February 25, 1957, in Chillicothe, Missouri. He was a 1975 graduate of Braymer High School. After graduation, he attended Missouri Western State University, St. Joseph, Missouri. Marty was united in marriage to Diane Dunkle on January 21, 2004, in Kingston, Missouri. He was a stay-at-home dad, while also working and maintaining their farm and cattle. He was a member of the Braymer United Methodist Church. He was also a member of the NRA and the Missouri Cattleman’s Association. Marty had a love for music and was an amazing guitar player. He enjoyed going to Rolling Stones concerts, politics, was a history buff, and liked old tractors.
Survivors include his children, Andrew McIntosh of Braymer, Missouri, Kalli Kugler (Paul) of Hardin, Missouri, Shawna McIntosh (Megan) of Raytown, Missouri, Alexis McIntosh (Blake) of Independence, Missouri, Beckie Albertson (Michael) of Buckner, Missouri, DJ Dunkle (Tara) of Blue Springs, Missouri, and Steven Simmons (Laura) of Buckner, Missouri; and the mother of his children, Diane McIntosh of Independence, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Tyler Hawkins and Mark Simmons; and his grandfather, John Hawkins.
A Memorial Service will be held at Lindley Pitts Funeral Home, Braymer, Missouri, on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. There is no scheduled visitation. Inurnment will be held at Evergreen Cemetery, Braymer, Missouri. Online condolences may be made at www.lindleyfuneralhome.com.
