Mark Edward Burton Mark Edward Burton, age 43, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, October 27, 2018, at Hedrick Medical Center, Chillicothe, Missouri. Mark was born the son of Leon and Kathy (Honeck) Burton on June 8, 1975, in Chillicothe, Missouri. He was a 1993 graduate of Chillicothe High School. After graduation he attended the University of Missouri Rolla, graduating with a Master's Degree in Geology and Geophysics. He worked as a Geologist for many years. Mark was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Chillicothe, Missouri. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Mark loved spending time with his children. Survivors include his parents, Leon and Kathy Burton of Chillicothe, Missouri; two sons, Porter Burton and Logan Burton of La Cygne, Kansas; one daughter, Myriam Burton of La Cygne, Kansas; one sister, Sara Eller and husband David of Chillicothe, Missouri; nieces, Madison Eller and Bridgett Eller of Chillicothe, Missouri; paternal grandmother, Virginia Burton of Hale, Missouri; maternal grandmother, Elaine Honeck of Chillicothe, Missouri; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Howard Burton; maternal grandfather, Robert Honeck; and cousin, Jeffrey Bowman. Funeral services will be held at the St. John's Lutheran Church, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Wednesday, October 31, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. A scheduled visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, October 30, 2018, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, October 30, 2018, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Arkadelphia Cemetery, Hale, Missouri.
