Marjorie Elizabeth Lightfoot Marjorie Elizabeth Lightfoot, age 91, a resident of Hale, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, March 10, 2016, at Indian Hills Retirement Village, Chillicothe, Missouri. Marjorie was born the daughter of Henry Harrison and Pearl May (Tietjens) Jenkins on December 25, 1924, near DeWitt, Missouri. She was united in marriage to Raymond E. Lightfoot on Christmas Day in 1947, in Carrollton, Missouri. She was a graduate of Bogard High School, class of 1943. She then attended Central Missouri State Teachers College in Warrensburg, Missouri, and for several years was a teacher in the Carroll County schools. Her first school being Oak Hill, also Guillett and Crispin and later the R-1 schools in Hale. She was a homemaker devoted to her home and family, a member of the Hurricane Hustlers extension club and a member of the Hurricane Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond in 2005, and continued to remain on the family farm. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Harold Jenkins; and an infant daughter, Robin. Survivors include one son, Dale Lightfoot and wife Diana of Hale, Missouri; two daughters, Cinthia Barnes and husband Jim of Chillicothe, Missouri, and Sue Sharp and husband Greg of Norborne, Missouri; five grandchildren, Katie Ann Cunningham and husband Casey of Hallsville, Missouri, Brandon Lightfoot and wife Ashley of Fayette, Missouri, Amy Beth Lovell and husband Darrell of Humble, Texas, Derek Richardson of Warrensburg, Missouri, and Jarin George of Branson, Missouri; two great grandsons, Ari Lovell of Humble, Texas, and Gavin Lightfoot of Fayette, Missouri; and four great granddaughters, Payton Jo Cunningham, Kampbell Reese Cunningham, and Avery Kate Cunningham all of Hallsville, Missouri, and Gracie Anne Lightfoot of Fayette, Missouri. A memorial service will be held at the Hurricane Baptist Church, Hale, Missouri, on Saturday, March 19, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. There is no scheduled family visitation.
