Marilyn Ruth Shipp Marilyn Ruth Shipp, age 85, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, September 8, 2018, at Hedrick Medical Center, Chillicothe, Missouri. Marilyn was born the daughter of Cecil and Birdean (Bailey) Peavler on September 7, 1933, in Chillicothe, Missouri. She was a 1952 graduate of Chillicothe High School. She was united in marriage to Jerry Cole Shipp on April 20, 1973, in Miami, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on December 30, 1989. Marilyn worked as the office manager and bookkeeper for Moore Equipment, Chillicothe, Missouri, for 46 years. She was a member of the Church of Christ, Chillicothe, Missouri. Marilyn enjoyed crafting, puzzles, reading, and sewing. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Survivors include two sons, Steven Street of Chillicothe, Missouri, and William Street and wife Glenda of Chula, Missouri; two daughters, Ruth Ann Sizemore and husband Rick of Wolcott, Indiana, and Debra Coffing and husband Ron of Monticello, Indiana; seven grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Howard Street; second husband, Jerry Shipp; and two grandsons, Michael Lawrence Long, and Cody Street. A memorial service will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Saturday, October 27, 2018, at 3:00 p.m. There is no scheduled visitation. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Friday, October 26, 2018, from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Inurnment will be held at Wheeling Cemetery, Wheeling, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to the Grand River Multi-Purpose Center and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601.
