Maridonna Rhea Mckee

Maridonna Rhea McKee Maridonna Rhea McKee, age 83, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, died peacefully on Saturday, April 8, 2017, at The Baptist Home in Chillicothe, Missouri, surrounded by her children.   Maridonna was born Aug. 21, 1933 east of Tindall Missouri the daughter of Millard and Ruth McKinnon Rhea. On April 26, 1952, she was married to Dale Robert McKee, in San Antonio, Texas. He preceded her in death on March 11, 2008.   Maridonna was a graduate of Trenton High School, Trenton, Missouri. She graduated in 1951 with her life-long friend Laura Sue "Sudie" Daniels. She was a member of Sullivan Presbyterian church. She was involved in several clubs and community organizations. She worked for Dr. Chad McCoy as a dental assistant for 23 years. She enjoyed playing the piano, playing cards, especially the Pinochle club and welcoming people in her beautiful home. She loved music, liked to dance, and enjoyed a good car ride with ice cream. She loved working in her yard, and beautiful flowers. Maridonna was kind and thoughtful. She was especially proud of her children, Becky and David, always thinking of them. Maridonna dedicated her life to family and was blessed by many dedicated friends. She enjoyed bringing laughter to all those she touched and especially enjoyed hosting family and friends to her home for a big Christmas gathering.   Maridonna is survived by her children, Rebecca Sue McKee of Kansas City, Missouri, and David Rhea McKee of Humphreys Missouri; one sister, Bonnie Sue Rhea McNabb and husband Jack of Trenton Missouri; her brother-in-law, Earl McKee and wife Carol of Humphreys, Missouri; several nieces and nephews who she dearly loved; and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one sister, Doris Madeline her husband Bob; her brother, James Mack and his wife Carolyn; sister-in law, Donna Hamilton and her husband Jack; her niece, Kathy McKee; and her nephew, Donald Hamilton.   Funeral services will be held at the Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, 13882 Liv 255 Highway 36, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601, on Saturday, April 15, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. A scheduled family visitation will be held at the Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Saturday, April 15, 2017, from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Friday, April 14, 2017, from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Saturday, April 15, 2017, at 1:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Luke's Hospice and/or the American Cancer Society and/or memorial of your choice and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601.
