Margaret Eleanor WeMott  Margaret Eleanor WeMott, age 95, a resident of Raytown, Missouri, passed away, peacefully on Saturday, February 6, 2016, surrounded by her family.   She was born on October 24, 1920, to T.W. Dugan Reed and Esther E. Reed. Eleanor, as she was called by her family and friends, grew up on her family farm in Breckenridge, Missouri enjoying the company of her brothers and riding horses. She attended Park College in Parkville, Missouri, where she played on the basketball team. In 1949, she married Harold H. WeMott and spent the next 20 years as a homemaker and volunteer. Later in life she excelled as a saleswoman at Swanson's Department Store on the Country Club Plaza. Eleanor will be lovingly remembered as a devoted mother and grandmother, accomplished seamstress, expert storyteller, lover of nature, master of wit and feisty humor.   Eleanor was preceded in death by her daughter, Margaret Basso, her parents and her beloved brothers, Charles Reed and Phil Reed. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Anne and Clint Stone of Edmond, Oklahoma, son-in-law Mark Basso of Kansas City, Missouri, grandchildren Maggie Martin and husband Kyle, John Stone and wife Christina and Andy Basso; great grandchildren, Ellie & Ryan Martin.   A celebration of her life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 12, 2016 at the First Christian Church in Edmond, Oklahoma. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2016, at 3:00 p.m. at Rose Hill Cemetery, Breckenridge, Missouri. Friends may call on Saturday, February 13, 2016, from 10:00 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. at the Pitts Funeral Home, Breckenridge, Missouri.
