Margaret "Helen" Pfaff
Margaret "Helen" Pfaff, age 88, a resident of Cameron, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, September 24, 2019, at the Missouri State Veterans Home, Cameron, Missouri.
Helen was born the daughter of Carl and Marguerite Emily (Murphy) Pfaff on September 22, 1931, in Chillicothe, Missouri. She was a 1948 graduate of St. Joseph's Academy, Chillicothe, Missouri. She then attended St, Margaret School of Nursing in Kansas City, Kansas, graduating in 1952. After graduation, Helen worked for hospitals in Kansas City and also at a physician's office. In 1967, Helen joined the United States Air Force, and graduated from Air Force Flight Nurse School, and served as a flight nurse during the Vietnam War. After serving 10 years in the service, she returned to Kansas City, and worked in Occupational Health until she retired. Helen was a member of St. Columban Catholic Church, Chillicothe, Missouri. She was also a member of St. Charles Catholic Church, Gladstone, Missouri, where she was extremely active in volunteering in the church.
Survivors include two brothers, Charles Pfaff of Chillicothe, Missouri, and Robert Pfaff of Belleair, Florida; three sisters, Elizabeth "Beth" Pfaff of Liberty, Missouri, Alice VanDyke of Chillicothe, Missouri, and Ann Marriott of Liberty, Missouri; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, William Pfaff; and one sister, Patricia Pfaff.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the St. Columban Catholic Church, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Monday, September 30, 2019, at 10:00 a.m. A Parish Rosary will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Sunday, September 29, 2019, at 6:00 p.m. with visitation to follow. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Sunday, September 29, 2019, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at St. Columban Catholic Cemetery, Chillicothe, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Charles Borromeo Academy of Kansas City and/or St. Columban Catholic Church and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O.
