Margaret "Marge" Elizabeth Gates Margaret "Marge" Elizabeth Gates, age 95, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2015, at Morningside Center, Chillicothe, Missouri. Marge was born the daughter of Clarence and Thelma (Smith) Thompson on May 19, 1920, in Chillicothe, Missouri. She worked as a waitress at the Town House Restaurant in Chillicothe for 12 years. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and going to ball games. She was an avid Rusty Strings fan and follower. Marge loved flowers and dancing. Survivors include two sons, Donnie Gates and Sandy of Chula, Missouri, and Joe Gates of Sacramento, California; four grandchildren, Jody Cameron of Florida, Chad Gates and wife Jennine of Sacramento, California, Christy Clampitt and husband Cory of Chula, Missouri, and Renee Tankersley and husband Jerry of Sedalia, Missouri; and eight great grandchildren , Ashleigh and Alexander Cameron, Tyler and Whitney Clampitt, Clayton, Payton, Konrad and Connon Tankersley; one half-brother, Howard Thompson; and one sister, Gladys Kingsolver of Denver, Colorado. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister; and two half-brothers. There was a cremation. A memorial service will be held at a Lifepoint Church, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Friday, November 13, 2015, at 6:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Livingston County Senior Center and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O.
