Margaret "Louise" Huston
Margaret "Louise" Huston, age 100, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Friday, July 31, 2020, at Morningside Center, Chillicothe, Missouri.
Louise was born the daughter of Alex and Mae (Tague) Huston on July 27, 1920, in Lock Springs, Missouri. She grew up in the Lock Springs community and graduated from Lock Springs High School. She later attended Maryville State Teacher's College, and took nurses training at Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. Caring for others was always a priority in her life. She worked in hospitals in Maryville, Trenton, and Chillicothe. She spent 18 years at the Chillicothe Hospital helping deliver and care for many babies. She worked as the office nurse for Dr. W.L. Leonard Fair for 24 years, and retired in 1987. Following retirement, she remained active in her church and with volunteer work in the community.
Survivors include: her sister, Geneva Harvey of Kansas City, Missouri: and her nephews, Todd Harvey of Kansas City, Missouri, and Ronald Huston of Gallatin, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Bernice Foster; her brother, Richard Huston; and her nephew, Robert Foster.
Funeral services will be held at the First Christian Church, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Saturday, August 8, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. There is no scheduled visitation. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Friday, August 7, 2020, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Lock Springs Cemetery, Lock Springs, Missouri.
