Margaret Elizabeth Casebeer Margaret Elizabeth Casebeer, age 83, a resident of Chula, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2011. Margaret was born in New Franklin, Missouri, on May 5, 1927, the Daughter of Raymond Stanton and Harriet "Hattie" Lou (Hooker) Casebeer. She graduated from Waverly High School and obtained her Master's degree from Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg, Missouri. She taught elementary school for 32 years, including Central School in Chillicothe, Missouri and Excelsior Springs Elementary. She was active in D.A.R. and the Retired Teacher's Association. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Chillicothe, Missouri. Survivors include a brother Oran Taylor "O.T." Casebeer and wife Ruth of Ithaca, New York; sister-in-law Marsue Casebeer of Trenton, Missouri; first cousins, Charles Hooker of Cherokee Village, Arkansas, Taylor Hooker of Griggsville, Illinois, Dixie Bohn of St. Louis, Missouri, and Mary Thompson of Chillicothe, Missouri, Mary Feit of Florida, Betty Anderson of Pennsylvania, Martha Hooker of Maryland, Coulter Hooker of Oregon Michael Hooker of Pennsylvania, John Kuller of Palm Dessert, California and Kathy Throckmorton of Santa Clara, California; one nephew, Carl Nelson and wife Suzanne of California; two nieces, Susanne Nelson Wilburn and husband Jim of California and Kristen Nelson Sanchez and husband Juan of New York. She is also survived by several more cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, David Hooker Casebeer, Lawrence Eugene Casebeer and John Stanton Casebeer; Sister, Mary Ruth Casebeer; and niece Cynthia Casebeer. Memorial services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri on Friday, March 25, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. A family visitation will be held on Friday one hour prior to the service from 9:00 a.m. until service time. Friends may call on Thursday from 8:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A private family inurnment will be held in the May Cemetery, Chula, Missouri at a later date.
