Marcia Ann Christian
Marcia Ann Christian, age 77, a resident of Lee's Summit, Missouri, formerly of Braymer, Missouri, passed away on Monday, February 22, 2021, at The Village at Carroll Park, Grandview, Missouri.
Marcia was born the daughter of Daniel Ray and Ruby (Jarushia) Bryant on April 12, 1943, in Hardin, Missouri. She was a 1961 graduate of Braymer High School. After graduation, Marcia attended the University of Central Missouri, Warrensburg, Missouri. She was united in marriage to William Christian on February 9, 1963, in Independence, Missouri. He survives of the home. Marcia worked as a secretary for many years. She also worked as an office manager for Montgomery Ward for several years. She was a member of the Church of Christ-Temple Lot, Independence, Missouri, where she was a bible school teacher, and campfire leader. Marcia enjoyed teaching piano. She loved being a grandmother.
Survivors include her husband, William Christian of the home; one son, Jason Christian and wife Kim of Lee's Summit, Missouri; one daughter, Melody Hayes of Lee's Summit, Missouri; five granddaughters, Tanner Lynn Pfaff and husband Colton, Marissa Ann Hayes, Shelby Grace Hayes, Brianna Loren Christian, and Danica Alice Christian; four great grandchildren; one brother-in-law, Albert Rudd of Independence, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Gerald Ray and Loren Daniel Bryant; and one sister, Grace Eloise Rudd.
Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Pitts Funeral Home, Braymer, Missouri, on Thursday, February 25, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. A scheduled visitation will be held at the Lindley Pitts Funeral Home, Braymer, Missouri, on Thursday, February 25, 2021, one hour prior to the service at 12 noon until 1:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Pitts Funeral Home, Braymer, Missouri, on Wednesday, February 24, 2021, from 12 noon until 7:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Evergreen Cemetery, Braymer, Missouri.
