Marci J (Meserve)Potts

Marci Jane (Meserve) Potts was freed of this life on May 1, 2021. Born May 4, 1962, she was just 3 days from her 59th birthday. Her life was meaningful and her story is worth knowing. Born in Massachusetts, Marci traveled and also lived in Arizona and ultimately settled in Missouri. She loved the weather there, the calmer pace of life, and the freedom of being outdoors. Marci loved to camp in a tent and enjoyed fishing. Something we never did together, but both enjoyed very much. Among the family Marci leaves behind, her only child David Matthew Corricelli, and her only grandchild, Genevieve Corricelli. Marci also leaves her brothers Theodore "Kippy" Meserve and Frank Rousseau. She adored her nieces Ashley (Belcher) Correia and Samantha Rousseau, and nephew Jesse Rousseau. Marci was predeceased by nephew Theodore “Kippy” Meserve. Marci cherished the time she had been able to spend with her granddaughter Genevieve. With Genevieve on Nana’s lap, they loved to read together. Marci loved her many dogs, and they gave her unconditional love in return. Marci was a free spirit who loved all animals. She always had a dog or two, once kept rabbits, and enjoyed horseback riding.

If there is a God and Heaven, and Marci believed there is, she is surely with Him now. Her soul is finally free of the pain and grief this life came with. She deserved so much better and so much more, but pursued what made her happy in spite of it all. She faced monsters and stayed strong. She faced cancer, and fought courageously for years. Finally, she may eternally rest in peace, body and soul. She loved those who loved her, even when they didn't show it. I will forever wish our life together was different. Her strength helped make me strong. Mom, I love you forever.

Marci was laid to rest with her beloved companion to the end. I imagine when Marci left this world, she was greeted by all her loving companions that she shared this life with. Lots and lots of kisses, jumping and tales wagging uncontrollably. There is no better way to return home.
