MALDEANNA (TRUDY) LYNNES


Maldeanna (Trudy) Marie Huffman, age 70, passed away January 12, 2022 at her residence in Chillicothe, Missouri. She was born Aug 17, 1951 in Sioux Rapids, Iowa to Howard and Doris (Bailey) Huffman. They moved to Cogswell, ND in l956 making their home on the farm.
She attended grade school in Cogswell, ND and graduated from Sargent Central High School in 1969.   She was united in marriage to Gary Lynnes in 1969, which dissolved 23 years later.
While raising her family, Trudy worked at the Good Samaritan nursing home in Oakes, ND and then had the opportunity to continue her education and became an LPN.  Later, she joined the staff at Community Memorial Nursing home in Lisbon,
ND where she worked for 7 years.  She then moved to LaMoure, ND and worked for LaMoure Manor (now St. Rose Care Center).  She then decided to move to Valley City, where she worked for a short period at the Sheyenne Care Center and then joined the team at Maryvale, as a staff nurse for the Sisters of Mary of the Presentation. To enjoy retirement and to be closer to her daughter and younger grandchildren she moved to Chillicothe, MO
She is survived by 2 sons, Donivan (Kim) Lynnes of Ellendale, ND Ty Lynnes (Javier) of Indianapolis In, and one daughter Kari (Gregory) Hahn of Lawrence, KS; two brothers, Gregory (Sharan) Huffman, Cogswell ND, and Christopher (Sharon) Huffman, Gypsum, CO; one sister, Linae Huffman of Oakes ND; 5 grandchildren. Justina, Jade, Connor, Kierstin and Aden. Many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her Parents Howard (Doris) Huffman, her grandson Fredrick, and 2 nephews. Trudy felt blessed to share life with Robert Roscoe as her life's partner, and Lawrence Ellsworth, both proceeded her in death.
Cremation has been entrusted to Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri.
Services will be held at the Oakes United Methodist Church, Oakes, NE on February 5, 2022 at 10:00 AM with time afterwards to share memories with family and friends.
